About the job

This isn't your average accounting role. You'll be the financial backbone of multiple active development projects, collaborating with project leaders, influencing key budget decisions, and ensuring reporting precision from pre-construction through completion. With the support of a dedicated contracts team and strong executive leadership, you’ll lead job cost strategy, guide controls, and provide critical insights that drive project success.

What You’ll Own

• Lead Job Cost Oversight: Manage end-to-end job cost accounting using Yardi Voyager. Own accuracy, forecasting, and controls across multiple project budgets.
• Drive Financial Strategy: Partner with development and finance leadership to forecast cash flows, review contract compliance, and provide reporting that informs investment decisions.
• Command Construction Pay Application Processes: Understand the full lifecycle of payments — from initial estimates to reconciliations — ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Ensure Compliance & Control: Oversee accruals, cost reclassifications, and revenue recognition under the percentage of completion method with solid audit-ready documentation.
• Mentor & Influence: Supervise internal team members, elevate processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting systems and budget procedures.

Who You Are

• Hands-on experience in the construction industry
• Working knowledge of pay applications
• Proven ability to oversee job cost accounting
• Leadership and management skills
