Job Description
Location: Redmond, WashingtonJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $35 - 40 per hourOur client is seeking a skilled Content Specialist to join their support team in creating high-quality self-service and training materials for players. In this role, you’ll develop and maintain player-facing support content, internal knowledge base articles, email templates, and agent training documentation. Your work will help ensure players receive clear, accurate, and timely guidance, reducing the need for direct support and enhancing the overall player experience.Responsibilities:
Research, write, and update user support documentation and internal training materials.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment on tools, workflows, and processes.
Edit and review content contributed by team members and external partners.
Leverage data to refine content strategy and optimize help center effectiveness.
Participate in cross-functional meetings (approx. 15% of time); majority of work (85%) will be focused, independent writing and editing.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in technical writing or customer support content creation.
Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience using tools like Zendesk, SharePoint, and Learning & Development platforms.
Portfolio showcasing troubleshooting guides, help center documentation, and training materials.
Strong writing skills with the ability to distill complex information into concise, user-friendly content.
Preferred: Familiarity with DITA content types and a background in gaming. Candidates should be comfortable navigating and validating their work within gaming environments.
Disqualifiers: No gaming experience or marketing-only writing background.
Key Projects:
Developing and refining player support content and agent-facing documentation.
Supporting new launches and updates with tailored troubleshooting materials and guides.
Improving training materials for onboarding and ongoing education of support personnel.
