Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Program Assistant to support our vibrant team in providing essential health and wellness services. In this role, you'll handle a variety of administrative tasks, contribute to program coordination, and help maintain smooth operations. Your work will make a direct impact on our mission to empower urban American Indian communities and promote their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Coordination: Manage day-to-day office functions, including answering phones, filing, and maintaining office supplies.
Client Support: Assist with scheduling, client reminder calls, and organizing health education activities and community outreach events.
Data Management: Use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for data entry and maintain accurate records.
Financial Support: Assist with processing expense reports and managing office-related budgets.
Team Collaboration: Provide support to the Site Director, Community Health Workers, and other program staff to ensure effective service delivery.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and mail merge for mass mailings
Experience in administrative support or office coordination
Preferred:
Knowledge or sensitivity to Native American cultures and traditions
Previous experience in a healthcare or community-based setting

Work Environment:
Business hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends.
This position requires some travel between service locations in Boston and Baltimore, all of which is covered by the organization.
