We’re hiring a detail-oriented accountant to join our expanding real estate team! You’ll reconcile accounts, keep track of accounts payable and receivable, and organize all our financial records. • Complete other accounting tasks as needed to assist the real estate team
• Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses
• Follow up with vendors for accounts payable and keep in touch as needed for collections and ensure bills are paid on time
• Facilitate all incoming payments and outgoing checks, including printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing checks as necessary
• Ready our books for monthly and quarterly reports

Qualifications:

• Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred
• Able to write to and speak with vendors and clients effectively
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in property management software, such as Yardi
• Accounting experience is required
